“Thank you for joining our loving GE family. You guys are such a blessing for us. Just continue changing people’s life by loving them.”
-Aisulu, Summer 2014
There are many ways to be a part of The Greatest Exchange.
This 5-week commitment will include loving on, teaching, serving, and ultimately sharing life with these exchangers. While opening their home and investing in the students, these families will be the key relationship in introducing them to the true meaning of love, grace, and family.
Host families will also commit to attending a bi-weekly meeting with their Exchanger and the Greatest Exchange team. All exchangers will also spend two nights a week meeting with the Greatest Exchange Director and Coordinators. The majority of the time that the exchangers spend in America, however, will be with the host families.
They will be responsible for food and transportation to and from work for the 5-week commitment. Host families will go through 4 training sessions to prepare for the students’ arrival, as well as a debriefing class after the exchangers leave.
Team Leaders will be the liaison between the Exchanger, the host families, and The Greatest Exchange director during the girls’ summer in America. This 8-week commitment will include having the exchangers over for dinner on a weekly basis, and building relationships with the intention of helping the girls successfully process and enrich their summer experience. It is an opportunity to pour into the exchangers and supplement the host families’ ability to share life with them.
It takes $2,500 to fully cover their costs to come to Jacksonville for a summer. 100% of all donations are used to cover the Exchangers’ costs, and all donations are tax-deductible. Donating to The Greatest Exchange is a beautiful picture of laying down our lives for the sake of something greater. All financial supporters will receive weekly updates following their stories, and will even have the opportunity to meet their Exchanger. To donate, click HERE.
Each summer, we host a variety of events for our participants and the families involved. In May, the families and girls have a meet and greet dinner. In July, we have a Thanksgiving Family Meal with all of The Greatest Exchange families. And in August, we host our annual Night of Celebration. The events team will assist with coordinating the logistics, and making these celebrations truly memorable!
